Spring Program – All Ages, Recreational & Competitive 

Spring Season runs March 12th thru the month of June.

SPRING Rowing at the DRC (Dammrich Rowing Center, 3220 Oakton in Skokie, 60076) is Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday at 4:20-6:20pm, Saturday 7am & 1pm and Sunday 10:30am & 1pm.

PreRequisite: Our LearnToRow Class is required for any rower NEW to Sculling (vs. Sweep) technique.  This class may be done Privately or as a Group.  Group classes are on Saturday or Sunday from Noon ’til 2:30 when weather permits,  In the Winter months or poor weather days, the Class starts and ends with a 75 minute session in the 905 Ridge Road Studio, otherwise it Starts at the studio and ends at the DRC.

Summer Program – All Ages, Recreational & Competitive

Summer Season runs June thru August, or until your school is back in session, then we pivot to the Spring Program listed above for our Fall Schedule.

Summer Rowing at the DRC (Dammrich Rowing Center, 3220 Oakton in Skokie, 60076) is Monday at 2:20-4:20pm, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday at 10:30-12:30pm and 2:20-4:20pm, Friday by appointment only, Saturday 7am & 1pm and Sunday 10:30am & 1pm.  Note: 6pm boatings during the week are added based on client demand.

ARC Program Overview

Alliance Rowing Club (ARC) of Illinois was founded in 2012 to deliver a complete club program on the Northshore of Chicago. A complete program addresses: grass-roots development, high school and adult recreational & competitive rowing opportunities. This ALL Ages club is dedicated to the education and promotion for every aspect of the satisfying, challenging and life-long endeavor known as CREW.

The ARC Everyone Rows approach allows all levels of recreational and ultra-competitive individuals to participate and grow their skills in a positive and productive environment. ARC allow all ages to row Athletically (fitness cross-training), Recreationally & Competitively in a flexible learning and mentoring environment by offering the following programs:

 

  • Deliver “Learn to Row” indoor rowing ergometer clinics
  • Provide correct and anatomically-safe rowing Strength & Conditioning programs
  • Deliver dryland training to youth and adults through public group Rowdio™ classes
  • Prepare incoming high school and collegiate students to successfully tryout for
    their selected team
  • Provide accessible recreational opportunities to enjoy on-the-water sculling and sweep rowing for all age groups, special needs and physically disabled participants
  • Develop and maintain a boat and equipment co-op for membership use
    Indoor rowing on Concept2 ergometers for 6-8th Graders
  • Strength and Conditioning Cross-training for multisport athletes including hockey, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, basketball, cycling, running, swimming, bowling, etc.
